Bishop Robert Brown

Bishop Robert Brown is an ordained Apostle/pastor and is in covenant relationship with Bishop Bill Hamon and the Christian International Apostolic Network.

Bishop Robert Brown was born in Cleveland, Ohio and lived most of his childhood in Tampa, Florida. In 1966, Robert enlisted in the United States Navy and served a tour of duty in Vietnam and in September 1971, was honorably discharged.

Shortly before Robert was discharged from the Navy he met Gwendolyn and they were married on August 25, 1975. God has blessed them with four (4) children Richard, Lashawn, Stephanie, and Baron.

The early years of their marriage were turbulent years because both of them were unsaved and did not apply biblical principles to the marriage relationship. Gwendolyn and Robert were finally divorced in September 1979. Prior to the divorce Robert felt the call of God upon his life, but he resisted it. It was during the period of the divorce that Gwendolyn was baptized in the Holy Ghost in September 1981. During the three years that they were divorced the tug of God was upon Robert’s heart and grew increasingly stronger until he surrendered his heart to God on December 17, 1982. As he was baptized in water on that date, God also baptized him in the Holy Ghost. The Lord spoke to him and said that since he had surrendered to Him that He was going to restore his family. God put His love in his wife’s heart for him and brought the family back together upon solid biblical principles and the love of Jesus. They were remarried in February 1983, and God has been doing great things in their lives ever since. 

He is a graduate of Florida Junior College at Jacksonville with a degree in Criminal Justice and also attended the University of North Florida and majored in Criminal Justice. Robert is also a graduate of Smith Bible Chapel Bible College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies and has completed training at Christian Healing Ministries, Jacksonville, Florida, in the area of Healing & Deliverance.

In August 1997 the Lord called Robert and Gwendolyn to establish the River of Life Christian Fellowship, Inc. Robert and Gwendolyn co-labor in the ministry and God has given them a vision to establish a work of the Lord free of religious bondage and traditions of men. They have a vision of God using the ministry mightily to cause inward change in the lives of people through His anointed Presence. There is a mighty demonstration of the Word of God as bodies are healed and demonic spirits are cast out. God has established a marriage ministry to promote the strengthening of marriage relationships. There is a mighty release of impartation and teaching as God restores, heals, and builds strong marriage relationships. Men are welcome to come and receive ministry from the Men of Destiny men’s ministry and the Women of Faith ministry is in place to meet the needs of the women. The Youth Soldiers for Christ Has been established to meet the unique needs of our youth. The jail and prison ministry travels to correctional facilities throughout the state of Florida to minister to the needs of incarcerated men and women and has received a mandate from God to provide re-entry assistance upon their release. A Time of Deliverance weekly television broadcast provides a media outlet for the preaching of the gospel in northeast Florida.
